Welcome to Wandering Foot!

Greetings Everyone!
The Tulips and Daffies are a bloomin’ so I know spring is finally here! Last month Cathy Kleinschmidt brought her Gammil machine which was a real treat. She also had some interesting tips about quilting! I never thought about Poly batting not being good for babies because it retains too much heat and I also found it helpful to know that she preferred polyester clear thread to nylon. I hope everyone had a good time trying out her machine!

Our Next Super Saturday is May 15th! Sue will teach us how to make a “Shop ‘til you drop bag”. This bag expands from small to large. Please cut and machine quilt your pieces beforehand so the time on Saturday can be about the construction. Class will start at 9:00 a.m. at the Greendale Public Library. Please sign up if you are interested. We hope you can join us!

April 2010
Greetings Everyone!

Our last meeting was quite a squeeze but we all pulled together and I thank you for your cooperation. The Quilts of Valor speakers were very inspirational and the program was very dear to my heart. My father was in WWII as well as his brother who was a war hero who died after pulling three of his comrades fro the field to safety. We proudly display his Silver Star and Purple Heart as a reminder of how lucky and grateful we are to them. I am going to make it a point that I make and donate at least one quilt for this cause! I will try to do something to encourage some of you to do the same. For those of you that love quilt shows, the Crazy Quilters of Mukwonago will have their show on April 10th and 11th. The next meeting looks very interesting so I will see you at our usual meeting place!
